We are delighted to offer this stunning fully restored 1973 Beetle on behalf of Harrogate Smart Repair, who have just finished fully restoring this bug to an almost unbelievable standard.
The bug has been restored to keep it as standard as possible, but with some very subtle upgrades that the car deserves.
PAINT / BODYWORK:
The entire body and chassis was completely stripped to bare metal and shot-blasted, and then any rust or rot was cut away and replaced with fresh new metalwork. The bug was then completely re-painted in the original colour, Alaska Blue Metallic (Code 96B), and treated with a modern superior lacquer that really gives a wow-factor and epic 'pop' in the sunshine!
INTERIOR:
The original seats have been professionally re-upholstered in Cream vinyl with blue piping, and new blue carpets have also been installed.
MECHANICS:
The engine was removed and completely stripped down, cleaned, painted and reassembled with brand new seals, and was also treated to a 1641 piston and barrel upgrade. In addition, the Alternator was upgraded. The car runs on 2 single Webber Carburetors and the front brakes have been converted to discs. The car sits slightly lower than standard using upgraded suspension components.
